"Experience is the Best Teacher"
NOW, “Who am I and what qualifies me to lead any upcoming discussions?” Experience is the best teacher. I still have much to learn, but I have taught my children the living Word as the primary curriculum resource in my home school. I have learned that education is not just knowledge, but that “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10, NIV).
I didn’t always see it that way, but my experiences as a home educator; domestic engineer and lover of beautiful things have taught me otherwise.
I have more insight now about true wisdom and knowledge because of my journey as a wife, mother and home school parent.
It’s through these lenses that I am able to share with you my mistakes and my victories!
After a dark time in my life, struggling with postpartum depression, I was lead to start “Mom Time-Out” gatherings in my home regularly since 2011. I felt that I needed to reach out to moms because it isn’t natural for “us” to open up and talk about our weaknesses. I share first, and if anyone else is lead to, then I encourage them to do the same. It has brought about healing in my life as well as in the ladies participating! Praise God!
SO, I have messed up big time, but God has redeemed those times by showing me how to let Him turn it out for good. By sharing it with others, God continues to show how He’s redeeming those difficult choices I’ve had to make. I have learned to truly carry my cross and follow Him.
As a result of God’s intervention in my life, I’ve been lead to also create this website and blog that is geared towards women, specifically moms. It highlights how to love God and others where we are, daily.
And now, I am in Colorado, after an “extended” vacation in New Jersey for about 18 months.
My husband and I were given an opportunity to live on the same ground where the American Revolution started and see it with our eyes to experience it as much as we can before we have to go back. It was home schooling that afforded us the opportunity to do that. But, if my husband and I had not chosen to do this we might not be here, talking to you via this site right now.
It took a lot of prayer and obedience to God, but we waited on the Lord to open or close the door and we are happy to be here!
He provided the people who were to also be blessed by taking care of our Colorado home, safe road and weather conditions, as well as the means to stay here on the company dime.
Although it was my heart’s desire to minister to moms, I thought I was going to be taking a break from it, but God had other plans.
He impressed upon my heart the need for reaching the family, to strengthen it by ministering to women, as a mentor, based on his command to women of the church in Titus 2:3-5, which says,
“In the same way, older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not addicted to much wine. They are to teach what is good, so they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children, to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, kind, and submissive to their husbands, so that God’s message will not be slandered."
My hope is that you may be encouraged to live with a true hope in God through Christ in the midst of a broken world and not lose heart!
It’s my hope to bring this to as many women as He allows me to. And to encourage more women to become mentor moms of Titus 2:3-5.
My credibility is not with my BS in Leisure Studies and Recreation Management and experience as a speaker, blogger and writer. Although, all these experiences helped shape who I am today; I come to you in the name of my God who goes before me, as my banner; with my mosaic life as His child, who has been broken, but restored back to true life!

It all started when I was desperate for balance in 2011. I attended a Sally Clarkson conference in California two months before my family was to move to Littleton, Colorado, a suburb of Denver.
God had been taking me out of a dark place in my life, emotionally and spiritually. About 5 months later, I was accepted as a participant in one of Sally Clarkson's "Intensives". With that under my belt I was confident that God had lead me to open my home for all moms, starting with my new church family.
I had just moved to a new place and didn't know anyone at all, but God gave me boldness to do that. He had allowed me to have not just one group, but two! It was awesome to be able to finally share with other moms what He had done for me!
Three years later God had grown this ministry into monthly moms group meetings, which I named "Mom Time-Out", because not only do children sometimes need a timeout, but moms do too.
So, this is how I came to invite moms and eventually, women, into my home, to have a safe place to confess their feelings of "inadequacy" without feeling like they were being judged. In my home, they felt more freedom to share their fears and faults, and be refreshed to keep on faithfully.
It wasn't only because it was not at a church or another sometimes intimidating environment, but because I was willing to be transparent, so that in turn Jesus' light could be seen through my broken, but redeemed and mosaic life.
He impressed upon my heart the need for ministering to women, as a mentor, based on his command to women of the church in
“In the same way, older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not addicted to much wine.
They are to teach what is good, so they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and
to love their children,
to be self-controlled, pure, homemakers, kind, and submissive to their husbands,
so that God’s message will not be slandered." (emphasis added)
My hope is that you may live with a true hope in God through Christ in the midst of a broken and lost world, yet not lose heart! Be encouraged!!
